Contributor Expections & Guidelines

General Expectations:• Be 18 years old or older. As both the SFW and the NSFW zines will be managed in the same discord server, our contributors may witness NSFW content there. Therefore, we decided to only allow adults to participate as contributors.
• Have a Discord account and be active there. The zines will be managed exclusively through our Discord server, and all communication will happen there exclusively. Therefore, we need all the contributors to have a Discord account and use it to access our server.
• No past zine experience is required.
• AI creation are banned from this zine, both in applications and in the pieces made for the zine. If an applicant is found to have used AI to make one of their samples, their application will be discarded. If a contributor is found to have used AI at any point for the creation of their piece for the zine, they will be banned from the zine and their piece will be removed from the final zine.
• One Piece rare pairs are not required to appear in your samples, however, One Piece creations are encouraged.
• The ship and general content of the piece you’ll be expected to make for this zine will be determined through a pitching process. You will have to formulate three pitches featuring at least two different rare pair ships. Once everyone has pitched, the mods will vote on what pitch you’ll be asked to make. We’re doing things this way in order to have a wide variety of ships and to avoid having too many pieces featuring the same ship. We are a multi-ships zine and want to represent as many different rare pairs as possible.
• You will not be allowed to share the piece you make for this zine with people outside of the zine for the whole duration of the creation period. Mods will tell you when you’ll be allowed to start posting excerpts of your work, then your full work.Page Artist Expectations & Application Guidelines:During the creation period, you’ll be expected to create one original art piece featuring an OP Rare Pair. This art piece can be a spread or a single page.Spot Artist Expectations:During the creation period, you will be expected to collaborate with a writer in order to illustrate a part of their story about an OP Rare Pair. In order to do this, you’ll have the option to create from one to three small art pieces.Comic Artist Expectations:During the creation period, you will be expected to create an original comic featuring an OP Rare Pair. This comic can be from two to six pages long, portrait oriented.Writers Expectations:- During the creation period, you will be expected to create an original story about an OP Rare Pair. This story will have to have a word count of 1500 words minimum and 4000 words maximum. You may also be paired up with at spot artist, who will illustrate some parts of your story. If so, you’ll be expected to collaborate with them.Application GuidelinesArtist and Spot Artist
- To apply to our zine, there will be only one form for all artists roles. We will ask you to indicate if you want to apply as page artist, spot artist and/or comic artist. We will also ask you to tell us if you want to be in the SFW zine and/or the NSFW zine.
For samples, we ask that you submit 3 samples and a portfolio, all as Google docs links (make sure sharing permissions are on). Please show us at least one piece that fits the role you want in our zine. If you want to apply to several roles, show us at least one piece for each role. If you submit NSFW samples, please include the appropriate Content Warnings in your application.
We encourage you to show us art samples featuring One Piece characters and One Piece rare pairs but it is not required.
All art you submit must be your own and not AI generated.Writer Guidelines
To apply to our zine, there will be only one form for SFW and NSFW writers. We will ask you in the form to indicate if you want to apply to the SFW zine and/or to the NSFW zine.
For samples, we ask that you submit 2 samples from 1500 to 4000 words long and a portfolio. At least one sample must be a complete story. Both AO3 links and Google docs links are allowed (make sure sharing permissions are on). At least one of your piece must fit the role you want in the zine (SFW or NSFW), if you want to apply to both roles, submit a piece for each role. If you submit NSFW samples, please include the appropriate Content Warnings in your application.
We encourage you to show us stories featuring One Piece characters and One Piece rare pairs but it is not required.
